Resolve to Not Hide These Truths

We will not hide these truths from our children;
    we will tell the next generation
about the glorious deeds of the LORD,
    about his power and his mighty wonders.

So each generation should set its hope anew on God,
    not forgetting his glorious miracles
    and obeying his commands.

LORD God,

Help me resolve to leave a legacy of Truth to my children and to the next generation—to commit to tell them of Your glorious deeds, Your unlimited power and Your mighty wonders—that they would set their hope anew on You, would remember Your glorious miracles, and would obey all Your commands.

Help me to remember that the Truth is never something that should be hidden away, but rather boldly and fearlessly shared with anyone that will listen—especially with my own children and with all of those of the next generation.

Help me to share freely what Your Word says about You, but also how You have proven Your Word to be Truth, in every situation or circumstance that I have ever faced—as You have demonstrated Your compassion, mercy, forgiveness, and grace, in every moment of the story that You have written of the pages of my life.

Let it be that those who follow after me would set their hope anew on You—because they heard, and believed, and remembered, and obeyed the Truth of Your Word—and may they, too, leave that same legacy with those that follow after them.
