Good and Gracious Father,

 

Help me always be joyful, never stop praying, and remain thankful in all circumstances—knowing that this is Your will for all of us who belong to Christ Jesus.

 

Beyond any emotions that I may be feeling, may my joy—that deep and abiding happiness that I find only in my close, personal relationship with You—remain constant and unchanged.

 

Regardless of how busy and disordered my day might become, may I continue unceasingly in prayerful conversation with You—the only One who brings order to my chaos and peace to my heart.

To Live a Life Worthy of God's Call

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.  Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Father God,

By Your power, enable me to live a life that is worthy of Your call.  Help me become more like Christ, that I might accomplish all the good things You have planned for me to do, for Your honor, through my faith, and by Your grace.

Empower me today, according to Your great strength at work within me, to do those good things which You prompt me to do—those things that require me to step out in faith, that require me to believe and trust in You.

As I move forward in faith, with my Lord Jesus Christ, let my life bring honor to Him, as I seek to be like Him—as I crucify my flesh and submit my will to His will in all things.

And may any honor that I receive be turned back to praise for the One who by His grace has made all things possible—the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.
