Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”—2 Corinthians 12:9a (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Help me to remember that it is in the grace that You continue to give me, in every moment of every day, that I find all that I truly need—Your sustaining power to carry me through every circumstance or situation that I face.
If You had only given me
enough grace to be redeemed to Yourself, it would be incredibly more than I
could ever deserve—but You continuously shower me with grace, so I might live each
of my days upon this earth for Your glory, honor and praise.
Thank you for giving me
Your sustaining grace, which You pour out on me in the face of those
afflictions that You allow me to continue to carry in my body—afflictions You give me as a gift, so that I do not
claim to have done anything in my own strength, but that it would be apparent
that You alone have placed in my hands any victory I might receive in this life.
So help me to glory in, and
openly declare, my inability—apart from You—that Your strength would be made
perfect in my weakness, and my submission to Your will for me would bring glory
to You—as a powerful witness to those who might see Your hand of grace upon me.
Help me to remember that it is in the grace that You continue to give me, in every moment of every day, that I find all that I truly need—Your sustaining power to carry me through every circumstance or situation that I face.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
