Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.—Proverbs 30:5 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for all the ways, in my own life, that Your words have been proven to be true—and for the comfort and hope that comes over me when I remember Your faithfulness to Your words!
Every day, help me to run
to Your Word, the Bible, so that I can find the Truth that You have waiting
there for me to discover, as by Your Spirit You reveal Yourself in Your words as
the Way and the Truth and the Life—as You reveal Yourself as perfect Love, full
of Truth and Grace.
Should I become discouraged,
help me to look back and remember how in all my life Your words have always proven
to be true—when I have put them to the test—and help me once again to determine
in my heart to walk in the ways of obedience to Your Word.
Help me never to forget
that You have provided this way to Truth out of Your great love for me—and that
if I seek out Your Truth and apply it to
my life, Your Word will become a shield to me, protecting me, providing for
my every need and keeping me in perfect peace.
