LORD God
Almighty,
When I find myself caught up in the chaos of the battles of this life, help me remember these are not my battles to fight—that my part is just to believe You, listen for Your instruction, and stay calm, as You fight for me!
Show me the insanity of
trying to fight on my own—when if I will be still in Your Presence, You will
show me how You already are, and always
have been, fighting for the best for me.
Show me the insanity of
trying to find rest anywhere other than in Your Presence—for only there can my
mind be quieted, my will become submitted to Yours, and my emotions find the
serenity for which I long.
Show me the insanity of
trying to find my way through life outside of Your Presence—for only You can
light the path of life for me and show me the joys of obediently living in Your
Presence here on earth, until You take me home to be with You forever.
