I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.—Psalm 119:11 (NLT)
All Wise God,
Grant that I would keep more of Your Word stored safely in my heart—so my life would be changed by its continuous washing of my soul—and I would not sin against You.
Thank You that Your Word
answers everything that I encounter on my earthly journey and takes me down the
path to an abundant life here—and then to everlasting life with You there.
Help me not just to
remember the lines of Your Word, but also reveal to me the depth of their meaning—so
that, with Your Spirit as my teacher, I can receive all the life-giving Truth
that each line offers me.
Don’t let my hunger for
Your Word ever wain, but let me always seek to hide it—so as not to lose the
great treasure that it is—within the deepest parts of my heart.
And strengthen me as I commit
to remember Your Word and apply each truth that I find there to my life—in obedience
to all Your instruction.
Grant that I would keep more of Your Word stored safely in my heart—so my life would be changed by its continuous washing of my soul—and I would not sin against You.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
