You made me; you created me.
Now give me the sense to follow your commands.
—Psalm 119:73 (NLT)
Creator God,
Knowing how well You know me—and what is best for me—help me to have the good sense to follow Your commands.
You are my Creator. You made me by Your own hands—You created me
according to Your own design and set me in place for Your own particular plans
and purposes.
You created me, You
designed me, to best function according to the commands of Your Word—and for me
to try to function in any other way would be a misuse of who I was created to
be and a denial of what I was created for.
Now, grant me a teachable
spirit and the wisdom to study Your commands—that I may understand and willingly
apply Your commands to my life—knowing that I can only fulfill my purpose and find
Your provision for me in obedience.
Knowing how well You know me—and what is best for me—help me to have the good sense to follow Your commands.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
