Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions;
I will put them into practice with all my heart.
Make me walk along the path of your commands,

Heavenly Father,
Open the eyes of my understanding—so that I can obey You with all of my heart and walk along the path of Your commands. For my happiness is found as I walk with You, through every moment of each day that lies before me.
With
Your Spirit as my teacher, open up the richness of Your Word to my spirit and
help me to understand everything that I need to know—that I might fully accomplish
those things that You have planned for me to do.
Lead
me to that place of absolute obedience to You—as You bend my will along the
path of Your commands—for my own good, in order to protect me, provide for me,
and to keep me in every way, in Your perfect peace.
And let me discover those
places of great blessing—which can only be found as I follow all of Your
instructions and join in Your divine work—as I put my trust in Your great love
for me and find the very best You have for me, in my life in Christ.
