No one is holy like the LORD!
There is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.—1 Samuel 2:2 (NLT)
Unchanging and Holy LORD,
There is no one like You, LORD! For You are my Rock—firm and unchanging. You are the strong and solid foundation of my life.
Let me never resist the sanctifying
work of Your Spirit within me, but let me remain submitted to every change that
You would bring in me—so that I might continue being made into the likeness of
Your holiness.
Help me never to seek out
a different foundation to build my life upon, other than the foundation of unchanging
truth that I find only in You—as declared in Your Word, revealed by Your
Spirit, and demonstrated in my life by my experience of trusting You.
Let my life be built only
on those things that are eternal, so that when the things of this world slip
through my hands and fall away, I will remain standing on the Rock—my ever present,
never changing, and never failing Hope!
