Life As A Continual Feast Of Blessing

For the despondent, every day brings trouble;
    for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.

—Proverbs 15:15 (NLT)

Good and Generous God,

Let all my thoughts be filled with hope, as I give thanks for the continual feast of blessings that You have prepared for me to enjoy—so that I can keep a happy-hearted attitude, no matter what comes my way.

I know that if I never miss an opportunity to dwell on every bad thing that happens—my attitude will become poisoned, my days will be filled with worry and trouble, and my hope will be lost to the lies the enemy has deceived me into accepting as truth.

I know that if I never miss an opportunity to dwell on every good thing with which You have so abundantly blessed me—my attitude will be nourished, my days will be filled with joy and happiness, and my hope will grow, as You help me to live in the truth of Your love.

Let me always choose wisely, those things that I allow to continue in my thoughts and influence my beliefs—so that I might fully experience the abundant life that You have invited me to live out each and every day.

Let all my thoughts be filled with hope, as I give thanks for the continual feast of blessings that You have prepared for me to enjoy—so that I can keep a happy-hearted attitude, no matter what comes my way.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

A Continual Feast

For the despondent, every day brings trouble;
    for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.

—Proverbs 15:15 (NLT)

Good and Generous God,

Help me fill my heart with good thoughts of the continual feast of blessings that You have prepared for me to enjoy—so that I can maintain a happy-hearted attitude, no matter what comes my way.

I know that if I allow myself to get discouraged—by never missing an opportunity to dwell on every bad thing that happens—my attitude will become poisoned and my days will be filled with trouble.

I know that if I allow myself to become encouraged—by never missing an opportunity to dwell on every good thing with which You have so abundantly blessed me—my attitude will be nourished and my days will be filled with happiness.

May I always choose wisely, those things that I allow myself to meditate upon—that I might fully experience the abundant life that You have me invited me to live out each and every day.

Help me fill my heart with good thoughts of the continual feast of blessings that You have prepared for me to enjoy—so that I can maintain a happy-hearted attitude, no matter what comes my way.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
