Who Is God Except The LORD?

God’s way is perfect.
    All the L
ORD’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
For who is God except the L
ORD?
Who but our God is a solid rock?

—Psalm 18:30-31 (NLT)

Sovereign LORD,

Help me to walk in the perfection of Your way and boldly live in the truth of Your promises!

Your way is perfect.  It is entirely without mistakes—completely without fault.  It is complete—lacking no essential detail.  And it is completely satisfying—containing everything I need for life and genuine contentment, and even happiness.

All of Your promises are true—and have been proven to be so, in the unfolding of my life. You are faithful to complete everything You promise to do, according to Your perfect timing and for my ultimate and greatest benefit.

You are a shield about me—when I hide myself in You—protecting me on every side and preserving me in every way, so that I have no reason to fear.

There is no God, but You, LORD!  For You are the only true and living God!

And there is no other solid rock—immovable and unshakable—upon which I can firmly and confidently take my stand—fully confident the One in whom I have placed my faith and completely convinced of both Your power to carry me and Your desire to carry me, through every circumstance for my good.

Help me to walk in the perfection of Your way and boldly live in the truth of Your promises!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Not In Vain

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

—1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV)

Heavenly Father,

May I never be moved off of the path You have set me on—because of what I see, or do not see happening—but only stand in the strength and power that comes from knowing You promised that nothing I do for You is ever useless.

Help me to be strong and immovable—having built my life on the solid foundation of my relationship with You, in Christ—as I choose to believe that You are my faithful and unfailing source of everything that I need to accomplish Your will for me.

Help me to work enthusiastically for You, trusting that the true value of what I do for You is not necessarily based on the results I see, but more likely based on things I may never see or know—which will be to Your glory, honor and praise in the end.

Help me always to trust that as I stand firm in my faith in You and commit myself to work diligently—in every moment of my day—at the thing that You have given me to do in that moment, You will cause Your will to be accomplished in and through me.

May I never be moved off of the path You have set me on—because of what I see, or do not see happening—but only stand in the strength and power that comes from knowing You promised that nothing I do for You is ever useless.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Never Useless

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable.  Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

—1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT)

Lord of my life,

May I never be moved by what I see—or do not see—but only stand in the strength and power that comes from knowing You promised that nothing I do for You is ever useless.

I want to be strong and immovable, Lord—having built my life on the solid foundation of my relationship with You.

I want to work enthusiastically for You, Lord, trusting that the true value of what I do for You is not based on the results I see—but rather, more likely based on things I may never see.

I want always to trust that as I stand firm in my faith in You and work enthusiastically at what You have given me to do, You will cause Your will to be accomplished in and through me.

May I never be moved by what I see—or do not see—but only stand in the strength and power that comes from knowing You promised that nothing I do for You is ever useless.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
