Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.—1 John 4:7-8 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Help me to love others with the kind of love that only comes from You.
Since I am Your child, made
in Your very own image, help me share Your love with others—the same love that I have
been blessed to experience in my own life, not because of any great thing that
I have done, but simply because I know You.
Out of a heart overflowing
with gratitude to You for Your love for me, and through Your eyes of understanding,
mercy, forgiveness, compassion and grace, help me to see others as You do and make
intentional choices and take definitive actions to give of myself to others in
love—just as Jesus did.
And may all those that
look at me, in truth, only see Your
love reflected through me—and be drawn to You that they may come to know that
You are love.
Help me to love others with the kind of love that only comes from You.
