In Every Detail Of My Life

The LORD directs the steps of the godly.
    He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall,
    for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for delighting in every detail of my life—for holding my hand and directing my steps—so that even if I stumble, I will never fall because I am held firmly in Your unfailing grip.

What an amazing thought, that You would take pleasure and joy in every detail of my life—that You want to be intimately involved with me, making every moment that I live an opportunity for me to see Your provision for my needs, flowing out of Your amazing love for me!

Thank You for directing each next step along the path of my life—and thank You that You take each and every step with me.

Thank You that You have taken me by the hand to guide me in paths of safety—and that, even though I am prone to falter, You do not allow me to fall completely down, because Your grip on me never fails. 

Thank You that You are always there to hold me up when I stumble—to keep me from being destroyed by the harm that my own inexperience or inattentiveness might cause me—that You rescue me by Your strength, love, mercy, forgiveness and grace.
