True And Trustworthy

For the word of the LORD holds true,
    and we can trust everything he does.

He loves whatever is just and good;
    the unfailing love of the LORD fills the earth.

Faithful God,

Thank You that every word You have ever spoken to us holds true—and we can trust everything that You do, because of Your unfailing love for us.

I take comfort that because You are not like us—because You are Holy, Just, and Good—we can trust You to be true and trustworthy at all times. 

Not so, with us who, because of our sin, can lie—in a futile effort to protect ourselves from the consequences of our wrong actions. 

We can forget—out of our carelessness or lack of concern for anyone but ourselves.

We can change our minds—and follow after things that are less than the truth. 

And we can fail to follow through on our promises—not keeping our word, not honoring our responsibilities as representatives of Christ.

But You are the ever-true, all-knowing, never-changing, ever-constant, always-trustworthy, Almighty God of all creation.  Your Word always reflects Your character perfectly—as it goes forth in power to accomplish Your purposes.

Thank You that You love all things that are just and good and that You deal with us according to Your never-failing love—which ever surrounds us, as it fills the whole earth with Your glory.

Thank You that every word You have ever spoken to us holds true—and we can trust everything that You do, because of Your unfailing love for us.
