Being Believers, United in Heart and Mind

All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.

—Acts 4:32 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

Grant that I would always do all I can to walk in unity of heart and mind with my brothers and sisters in Christ—and be willing and ready to share with them anything from that with which I have been blessed.

Remind me that no person was meant to live this life alone—that as a part of the greater body of Christ, we all must work together in unity for the same goals and purposes, in order to bring glory to You.

Help me to be a defender of unity—to make little of what sets us apart from one another and much of what unites us together, because of Your unfailing love for each of us.

Help me not to forget that what You have given me is as much intended for the benefit of others, as it is for my benefit—that it is entrusted to me, not to have, not call my own, but to be used for Your glory and honor.

Show me how I cannot fully experience the intended blessing of those things that I have been given, until I choose to share them with others.

Grant that I would always do all I can to walk in unity of heart and mind with my brothers and sisters in Christ—and be willing and ready to share with them anything from that with which I have been blessed.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
