You, LORD, keep my lamp burning;

Light of my life,
Let the oil of Your Holy Spirit always keep the light of my lamp burning brightly within me—illuminating the path of my heart—as You turn my darkness into glorious light!
When troubles and trials seek
to overwhelm me, I thank You that Your great love for me continually brings
light into my heart—to comfort my spirit with hope.
Thank You that when I find
it hard to see the way which You would have me go, if I step out in faith and
believe that You will lead me, You make my way plain before me and order my
steps—lighting each next step along the way.
Thank You that Your Holy
Spirit is always at work within my heart—to drive out my darkness and to make
more space for Christ—so I can live in that place of peace, provision,
protection, and sustaining joy that I can only find in Him.
Cause the light of Christ
to shine through me, so that others will be drawn to Christ in me—and may
experience for themselves the joy of Your Presence and the depth of Your love
for them.
