Faithful Love Which Endures Forever

He remembered us in our weakness.
      His faithful love endures forever.
He saved us from our enemies.
     His faithful love endures forever.
He gives food to every living thing.
     His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
     His faithful love endures forever.

—Psalm 136:23-26 (NLT)

Merciful and Loving Father God,

Thank You for Your faithful and forever enduring love—which is infinitely far beyond what I could ever deserve.

Thank You for remembering me in my weakness—for loving me when I was lost in my sin, for wanting me enough to make a way for me to live in right relationship with You, and for giving me Your strength, so that I might truly live my life through You.

Thank You for saving me from those spiritual enemies which wage war against me—sin, death, and even hell itself—through the sacrifice of Your Son, and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank You for giving me life giving food to eat—but not just food. Thank You that I find in You every good thing I need to live, and grow, and learn, and serve, so that in doing so my life brings glory to You.

I give You all of my thanks and all of my praise, for You are the Great and Glorious Creator of everything that is, and still You invite me to drink from the inexhaustible fountain of Your never ending mercy and love.

Thank You for Your faithful and forever enduring love—which is infinitely far beyond what I could ever deserve.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Before The LORD

And each morning and evening they stood before the LORD to sing songs of thanks and praise to him.

—1 Chronicles 23:30 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

Fill my heart with unceasing gratitude to You—both for who You are and for all that You done for me—so that the song of my heart and the melody on my lips will always declare my thanks and praise to You!

In the morning when I rise, let me stand before Your Presence with thankful songs of praise raised to You—for You are good and gracious to me and Your merciful, compassionate and unfailing love for me endures forever.

Your love for me is so great that You see beyond my own wants and never fail to provide me with what I really need—so that I might walk in peace, joy, hope, and love, through a right relationship of willing obedience to You.

You completely heal my brokenness, perfectly filling every empty longing of my heart—as I accept Your presence with me, and Your power and Your plan for me—so that I am made whole.

So let the meditations of my heart be on who You are—so that my thoughts, words and actions, joyfully celebrate You in praise—and so that the part of this world that I touch might hear of Your wonderful greatness.

For You are worthy of so much more than all the praise, honor and glory I can give.  You are the one and only LORD God Almighty, Creator of everything there that is or ever shall be.  There is none like You.

And in the evening when I return to rest, let me stand before Your Presence with thankful songs of praise raised to You—for You are good and gracious to me and Your merciful, compassionate and unfailing love for me endures forever.

Fill my heart with unceasing gratitude to You—both for who You are and for all that You done for me—so that the song of my heart and the melody on my lips will always declare my thanks and praise to You!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Faith Walking

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

—2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

Heavenly Father,

Help me remember that as long as I am here on earth, I am to walk by faith and not by sight—that faith is given to me for this world and that true sight is yet awaiting me, in the world to come.

Help me not to be fooled into believing a lie—deceived by my own natural eyes—when that which I cannot see—that is, the realm of the Spirit—is truer and more real than anything I can now see.

Help me to understand that faith is mine to help me get through this life, until that day when I join You there and will know all things as they are—when faith will no longer be needed.

Remind me that my part is just to believe that You are who You are and that what You have told me is true, and then wait—as according to Your perfect will, plan and purpose, You choose to reveal to me how those things that I have believed are true.

Help me remember that as long as I am here on earth, I am to walk by faith and not by sight—that faith is given to me for this world and that true sight is yet awaiting me, in the world to come.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
