In All Your Ways!

 

 

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.

Sovereign and Loving LORD,

 

May I always trust You with all my heart, so that I do not rely on my own understanding but seek Your will in all that I do—knowing You will show me the path I should take.

 

Help me to lean only on You—to trust You completely, and to remain confident that You have great plans for me—as I commit my love and surrender my life to You.

Help me not to depend on my own limited insights or understanding of things, but rather to put my trust in Your unlimited wisdom and understanding—always confident that You love me and always want what is best for me.

 

Help me understand that as I choose to trust You—more than I trust myself—You will show me what I should do and will remove every obstacle from my path, and bring me to that place where You have called me to live in Christ.

The Heart of a Man

 

 

As in water face reflects face,
    so the heart of man reflects the man.

Heavenly Father,

 

Show me my heart, that I may know the man that I am. Then make me more like Jesus. 

 

Just as I might look carefully into still, clear water to see the reflection of my face on its surface, so may I carefully examine what my thoughts, words, and actions say about the condition of my heart—and how that reveals the man that I truly am. 

 

Help me to see the places in my heart that I have not yet surrendered to the sanctifying power of Your Holy Spirit within me—and give me the strength and desire to give those places over to You, today.

 

Change me, so that the reflection of the man that I am in my heart will no longer resemble a man of this world but be a better reflection of a man who has a heart after Your own heart.

 

Show me my heart, that I may know the man that I am. Then make me more like Jesus.

God of My Salvation

Help me to remember that You are my source of help—that all my help surely comes from You!

 

Help me look to You and wait—in quietness of spirit and in confidence of heart—for You to save me from whatever circumstance or situation in which I find myself.

 

And help me to see Your hand working to accomplish Your plans and purposes for me along every path that You lead me down—as You teach me more about Your ways and show me Your salvation.

 

May I always cry out to You in faith—trusting that You will hear me. For You know my thoughts, even before I put them into words and are ever eager to answer the cries of my heart.

 

Help me to remember that You are my source of help—that all my help surely comes from You!

The Right Path!

 

Show me the right path, O LORD;
    point out the road for me to follow.

Lead me by your truth and teach me,

Show me the right path—the road that I should follow, the way that I should go.  Lead me by Your Truth, teach me by Your Spirit, and save me in every way—as I put all my hope in You, through every moment of each new day.

 

Help me to find the path that is right and good—the road where I find myself walking in intimate, personal relationship with You—where I choose to humbly serve You and obediently submit to Your will for me in all things.

 

By the power of Your Holy Spirit at work within me, open my heart to receive the Truth You have waiting for me in Your Word—as You teach me to apply that Truth to every situation and circumstance, so I might always journey forward, moving ever closer to You.

 

Help me never forget that You are the God who saves me in every way—emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually—so that I put all my hope in You, no matter what I face.
