The LORD looks down from heaven
and sees the whole human race.
From his throne he observes
all who live on the earth.
He made their hearts,
so he understands everything they do.—Psalm 33:13-15 (NLT)
LORD GOD,
As You continue to mold and make my heart for Your purposes, help me to surrender my will, that Your will might be accomplished within me—so that when I stand before You to account for my life, I might not be ashamed.
Thank You that from Your heavenly
vantage point You don’t miss anything, but have an intimate and complete understanding
of every one of us—having personally made each of our particularly unique hearts
and placed them deep within us.
You look down upon each
individual one of us to observe our every move, but You see much more than just
what we do—You understand the thoughts,
intents and motives of our hearts even better than we do ourselves.
And while You observe each
one of us in detail, You also see the whole picture of humanity—and are working
within each individual one of us to bring about Your great plan and purpose for
the entire human race.
As You continue to mold and make my heart for Your purposes, help me to surrender my will, that Your will might be accomplished within me—so that when I stand before You to account for my life, I might not be ashamed.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
