The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”—Psalm 32:8-9 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Guide me along the best pathway for my life, as I willingly submit to Your will and allow Your Word and Your Spirit to advise me—according Your unlimited wisdom and boundless love for me.
I don’t want to find
myself fighting against You—like a senseless or stubborn horse or mule—and have
to endure the discipline that results from my foolish disobedience or the
consequences that are a result of having gone my own way.
Help me to remember that
the path You lead me down is the best way for me to go—the way that will keep
me safe and the direction in which I will find my every need met according to
Your plan and perfect timing.
Don’t allow me to forget
that Your provision, protection, peace and joy awaits all those who willingly
seek out Your counsel and obey Your instruction.
Guide me along the best pathway for my life, as I willingly submit to Your will and allow Your Word and Your Spirit to advise me—according Your unlimited wisdom and boundless love for me.
