The LORD, My GOD

This I declare about the LORD:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
    he is my God, and I trust him.

O LORD, My GOD,

Let this always be my unwavering declaration:  You alone, LORD GOD, are my refuge, my place of safety; My God, and the One that I trust.

Help me to make Your presence my only refuge—the one place I run to when I am in distress—that one place that will never fail me.

Help me to make Your presence my only place of safety—the one place where I can remain and be truly kept safe—that one place where I am surrounded by Your protection, covered by Your wings, and held in Your love.

Help me to make You my only God—having allowed other no person or thing to come before you—that I would forever worship You alone.

Help me to make You the One I trust—for You are the only One who has never and will never let me down—the One that never leaves and walks each step with me.

Let this always be my unwavering declaration:  You alone, LORD GOD, are my refuge, my place of safety; My God, and the One that I trust.
