Wait for the LORD;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the LORD.—Psalm 27:14 (NASB)
Loving and Compassionate LORD,
Grant me the wisdom and strength to wait on You—as I let my heart take courage in Your faithfulness and stand unshaken, regardless of what troubles may come my way.
Help me to be patient in
my waiting—with great faith and confident expectation—believing I will see Your
hand at work on my behalf, as You work all things together for my good.
As I wait on You, help me
purpose to draw ever closer to You and remain faithful to do that which I
already know that I should do—knowing that waiting doesn’t mean that I should
be idle.
Keep me busy in prayer, in
searching Your Word and in listening for Your Spirit—as I humbly submit my will
to Yours, in obedience to all that You have asked of me.
Teach me to be courageous,
as I encourage myself with Your Truth—standing firm, with my mind fixed on You,
unmoved by what I see in the natural—confident that my only Hope is found in
You.
Grant me the wisdom and strength to wait on You—as I let my heart take courage in Your faithfulness and stand unshaken, regardless of what troubles may come my way.
