God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Heavenly Father,
Help me to use well the particular spiritual gifts that You have graciously given to me—that I might serve others, by Your power, and bring You glory as I live my life through Christ.
Help me not to compare my
gifts to the gifts that others may have received—but rather help me to understand
that what You have granted to me uniquely enables me to fulfill Your perfect
plans and purposes for me.
Help me never forget that
the working of these gifts within me requires me to be willing and obedient and
submitted to the Holy Spirit at work in me and through me—so that whatever I do
in service to others is not done with my own words or in my own strength, but
is done with the words, strength and energy that You supply.
In everything I do to help
others, let my thoughts, words and actions bring Glory to You through Christ—to
whom belongs all glory and power, forever and ever!
Help me to use well the particular spiritual gifts that You have graciously given to me—that I might serve others, by Your power, and bring You glory as I live my life through Christ.
