The LORD is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
So it is good to wait quietly
for salvation from the LORD.—Lamentations 3:25-26 (NLT)
Good and Loving LORD,
Thank You for being so faithful to show me Your goodness in those times that I have depended on You the most—and help me today to trust You completely, to seek after You continuously and to quietly wait for Your salvation.
Help me remember all the ways
that have You poured out Your goodness on me in the past—and how, because of
Your goodness, You have either delivered me out
of each distressing circumstance in which I found myself, or sustained me in the midst of it, in order to deliver
me through it.
Help me to seek to make
more room for You in my life, as I simply talk with You throughout this day—through
my heartfelt prayers and my loving worship of You—and as, within the peace of
my stillness, I listen for the quiet whisper of Your Voice.
Help me not to be anxious
about those things that I don’t have—and may never have—all figured out. Remind me to keep my peace, by remembering
that You are my hope and You will provide for me, protect me, and save me—because
You are my LORD.
Thank You for being so faithful to show me Your goodness in those times that I have depended on You the most—and help me today to trust You completely, to seek after You continuously and to quietly wait for Your salvation.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
