For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.—John 13:15 (ESV)
Heavenly Father,
Help me to follow the perfect example of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant that I would reflect His heart more perfectly, speak His Truth out of love, offer His grace with compassion, and emulate the humility of His servant leadership with others.
Thank You for the gift
that You so graciously gave to us, when You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to
come and walk upon the earth among us—as an example for us all. Help me to pattern my life after His life of
service to all those around Him.
Help me to walk in His
humility—having set aside of all my pride—that I might not consider anything
You ask me to do to be beneath me, but joyfully and obediently embrace any
opportunity You give me to be a part of what You are doing.
Help me to love as He
did—as His compassion stirs my heart and I respond with appropriate Godly
action. May others experience Christ’s love—as I allow it to flow into me and
through me—that You would receive all of the glory!
