I Sing, I Cling!

    I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.

Almighty God, My Helper,

May I always sing for joy, and may I forever cling to You!

 

While there are those who seek to find their help from the things of this world, You have shown us the Truth in Your Word—that our help is found in You alone.

 

You are the One who spoke the heavens and the earth into existence—so where else would I go to find help for my life, if not to the Creator of life, Himself?

 

Because You are my helper, I can always sing for joy—no matter what outward circumstances I face—for You shelter me under the protection of Your covering wings from the troubles of this life. 

 

As I cling to You, You hold me securely—You take on Yourself the force of each storm that comes against me—so I can fulfill Your plan and purpose for me.

 

So, let my unending song in this life be a joyful song of praise, worship and thanksgiving offered to You—my only help and my sure salvation!

May I always sing for joy, and may I forever cling to You!

Another Advocate

 

 

“If you love me, obey my commandments.  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.”

Lord Jesus,

 

May I never fail to demonstrate my love for You, through my willing obedience to Your commandments, as I look to the Holy Spirit within me to guide me into all Truth.

 

Let my love for You be so much more than just words that I push carelessly across my lips without thinking. Rather let my words reflect my love for You—a love which permeates everything that I think, say, and do.

 

Help me to look to the Advocate the Father has given—the Holy Spirit—to be my Comforter when I am hurting; my Encourager when I am discouraged; my Counselor when I need guidance; my Helper when the work gets hard; my Strengthener when I need to take a stand; my Friend when I need to know I am never alone; and my Teacher when I need to hear and know the Truth.

 

Keep me sensitive to the promptings of Your Spirit—who lives within me, and never leaves me—so that I might not miss any good thing that You have for me along my journey to know You more intimately.

Almighty God,

May I forever sing for joy as I cling to You—as You shelter me under the wings of Your unfailing love and uphold me in every way, by the almighty power of Your strong right hand.

While there are those who think they will find their help from the things of this world, You have revealed the Truth to us in Your Word—that our help is found in You alone.

You are the One who spoke the heavens and the earth into existence—so where would I find better help for my life here on earth, than from the Creator of all that there is?

Because You love me, I can sing for joy at all times—no matter what outward circumstances I face—for You shelter me under the protection of Your covering wings from the troubles of this life, and take on Yourself the force of each storm that comes against me.

As I cling to You—as I trust in the peace, provision and protection of Your presence with me—You hold me securely so I am able to fulfill Your plan and purpose for me.

So, let my unending song in this life be a joyful song of praise, worship and thanksgiving offered to You—my only help and my sure salvation!
