Heavenly Father,
Help me to be persistent in my pursuit to learn more about You—that I might live in that close, personal, intimate relationship with You, that You made available to me through Christ.
Help me as I seek to be intentional
and purposeful about my search for Your heart—and keep me from settling for a
half-hearted, haphazard approach to discovering who You are and understanding Your
plans and purposes for my life.
Help me to keep asking You
for those good things that You want me to have—things like knowledge and
understanding of Your ways, wisdom to discern the truth in every situation, and
mercy, love, and compassion for others.
Help me to keep knocking
at the door of Your heart, knowing that You will always answer me and welcome
me into Your Presence—as I come to You believing with my whole heart that You
take great delight in showing me things I do not know.
Help me to be persistent in my pursuit to learn more about You—that I might live in that close, personal, intimate relationship with You, that You made available to me through Christ.
