Heavenly Father,
Help me to remain both persistent and pursuing in my search to have more of You in my life.
I don’t want to take a half-hearted,
haphazard approach to knowing You and Your will for my life. I want to be intentional and purposeful about
my pursuit of Your heart.
I want to keep asking You
for those good things that You want me to have—things like knowledge and
understanding of Your ways, wisdom to discern the truth in every situation, and
compassion and love for others.
I want to look for Your
hand at work all around me—in nature, through situations, by my experiences,
and as manifested in the lives of the people in my life—so that I will see and
know that You are always here with me and be encouraged by Your presence.
I want to keep knocking at
the door of Your heart, knowing that You will always welcome me in, and show me
things I do not know, whenever I come to You in faith.
Help me to remain both persistent and pursuing in my search to have more of You in my life.
