In Your Presence

Heavenly Father,

 

I have placed all my trust in You—for I know that You will always lead me down the path of life, to that place of joy and peace that can only be found in Your Presence.

 

Thank You that as I seek to hear what You would say to me, in Your Word and by the promptings of Your Spirit, You are always faithful to lead me down paths that bring me life—life that is full, rich, and free; life that fulfills Your will for me.

 

Thank You that as I remain in Your Presence, the power of Christ in me carries me through every hardship I face, the cares of this world are lifted from my shoulders, and my joy is made complete in trusting and serving You.

 

Thank You that Your desire for all believers is that we would remain at Your right hand and enjoy the pleasure of living in the protection, provision, and peace of Your Presence, forever.

The Path of Life in God's Presence

LORD of Life, and Joy, and Peace,

When I grow weary of the fight, when I long for peace and rest, when I don’t know what to do, remind me to remain calm—to remain in Your Presence.

Keep me from the insanity of trying to fight on my own—when if I will be still in Your Presence, You will show me how You already are, and always have been, fighting for me.

Keep me from the insanity of trying to find rest anywhere other than in Your Presence—for only there can my mind be quieted, my will become submitted to Yours, and my emotions find the serenity I long for.

Keep me from the insanity of trying to find my way through life outside of Your Presence—for only You can light the path of life for me and show me the joys of obediently living in Your Presence here on earth.

And grant that I would experience all of the fullness of joy and the pleasures that You offer to me, as You hold me in Your everlasting arms—and fight all my battles for me.

When I grow weary of the fight, when I long for peace and rest, when I don’t know what to do, remind me that You are waiting for me to be still in Your Presence.

Thank You that as I consistently seek to hear Your voice, as I listen for Your Holy Spirit within me to speak to every decision I make, You are always faithful to lead me down paths that bring me life—life that is full, rich, and free; life that fulfills Your will for me.

Thank You that as I remain in Your Presence, and allow the power of Christ in me to carry me through every hardship I face, the weight of the cares of this world is lifted from my shoulders—and my joy is made complete in serving You.

Thank You that Your invitation—to me and to all believers—is that I remain at Your right hand and enjoy the pleasure of living in the protection, provision, and peace of Your Presence with me, forever and ever.
