The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,
which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.
But the way of the wicked is like total darkness.
They have no idea what they are stumbling over.--Proverbs 4:18-19 (NLT)
Father of
Lights,
Thank You that the path that You have set me on, grows brighter with each step I take, driving the darkness away until that moment I join You in Heaven…and darkness is no more.
Just as the
light of a new day gradually overtakes the darkness of night, so Your love
overtakes the darkness of my soul, as I continue to purpose to walk the path You
set before me.
And as I walk
that path, You continue to brighten the way before me, so that I am increasingly
sure of the direction You are leading me and more confident of Your power at
work in me along the way.
Keep me far
from the way of the wicked, who—because of the darkness they walk in—cannot
even see the sin that trips them up.
Thank You that the path that You have set me on, grows brighter with each step I take, driving the darkness away until that moment I join You in Heaven…and darkness is no more.
In the name
of Jesus, Amen.
