Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.—Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Thank You, that I don’t have to waste one more moment of my time worrying about things—because You are the God who provides everything that I need and gives me peace beyond my understanding, as I live in Christ Jesus.
Help me to remember that
the enemy will do everything in his power to cause me to believe the onslaught
of lies that he would speak into my head—in an effort to override the truth
that You have placed within my heart.
Help me to remember that
You have given me a way to escape the torment, quiet the enemy, and receive
Your peace—when I hold my thoughts captive and submit myself in faith to the
truth of Your Word.
When that flood of
negative thoughts assaults me, remind me to
thank You for how You have always
carried me through my life—miraculously providing for my every need and
consistently working for my good.
Remind me to come to You
with whatever is bothering me—trusting You to take the mess from me and fix it
as only You truly can.
Help me to know that as
much as I am able to leave it all in Your hands—as much as I am able to let go of
my supposed control over things—so
will Your peace be multiplied back to me.
Knowing how important it
is to keep my heart and protect my mind, help me to live my life in Christ
Jesus—so that Your peace will guard my heart and mind in Him.
Thank You, that I don’t have to waste one more moment of my time worrying about things—because You are the God who provides everything that I need and gives me peace beyond my understanding, as I live in Christ Jesus.
