Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.—Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
May the message of Christ, and the hope that is found in the rich treasures of Your Word, fill my heart and life—giving wisdom to my thoughts and words, infusing everything I do with Christ’s light and life, and causing songs, from a thankful heart, to overflow across my lips in praise to You.
Let the wisdom found in
the Good News of Christ saturate me—so that I might correctly instruct and
counsel others, while remaining open and ready to receive their wise
instruction, as well.
Help me represent Christ
well, by my example to others—while watching to learn and be encouraged by their
example of Christ.
And help me to freely share
with others, testimonies from my own experience in walking with Christ, that
they might learn and grow—while helping me to consider what You would have me
learn from their shared experiences.
And may there continually rise
up from within me—by that same message of Christ within me—a voice filled with
psalms, hymns of praise and songs, spontaneously inspired by Your Holy Spirit, out
of an overflowing heart of gratitude to You.
May the message of Christ, and the hope that is found in the rich treasures of Your Word, fill my heart and life—giving wisdom to my thoughts and words, infusing everything I do with Christ’s light and life, and causing songs, from a thankful heart, to overflow across my lips in praise to You.
