Heavenly Father,
Save me from any tendency I might have to work half-heartedly, by keeping me mindful of the One that I work for—Jesus Christ, my Lord!
I truly want to please You in all
things and at all times—because of my love for You.
May I always put myself whole-heartedly
into everything I do—both the very big things and the very small things—in
order to bring glory to You alone.
May my true purpose not be found in working to please man—as
if that was all that mattered—but let it be found in my love for You and my
desire to please You.
Convict my heart when I am tempted to
complain about the mundane tasks of life, and give me a heart to give You the very
best I have to offer—no matter what task I find before me—never forgetting the
great reward You have waiting for me at the end of my labor here on Earth.
Keep me ever mindful that You see
everything that I do and help me as I purpose to always be willing and obedient
as I work for You—that I might prove my love for You.
Save me from any tendency I might have to work half-heartedly, by keeping me mindful of the One that I work for—Jesus Christ, my Lord!
