May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and good hope by grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good work and word.—2 Thessalonians 2: 16-17 (HCSB)
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the demonstration of Your absolute love at the cross and the eternal encouragement and good hope that is mine in Christ by grace—by which You encourage my heart and strengthen me in every good work and word.
Let everything that I do
and say in the present always flow from a grateful heart for the completed work
that You did on the cross and out of a hopeful anticipation for the good plans
that You have for me in the future.
Encourage my heart and
strengthen me—physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually—that, according
to Your will, I might be able to do every good thing and speak every good word
within Your plans and purposes for me.
And let this also be my
prayer for all my brothers and sisters in Christ—that their hearts might be
encouraged and strengthened by You in every good thing that they do and say.
