Remembering What You Have Done

“But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.

—Deuteronomy 4:9 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

Help me remember—so I can share with others—the story of the great things I have seen You do in my life.

Help me to pay attention—be alert, observant, cautious, careful, and discerning—so that I might walk with You in complete obedience, as You direct me by the Holy Spirit within me.

Help me to hold onto those memories of all the ways You have demonstrated Your unchanging goodness, rescuing mercy, complete forgiveness, unwarranted grace, abundant provision, strong protection, wise direction, and unfailing love.

Help me to teach the truth of how You poured out Your love on my life to my children and grandchildren—and to anyone who will listen to this amazing story of the salvation that I have found in You.

Help me remember—so I can share with others—the story of the great things I have seen You do in my life.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
