Lord Jesus,
From within this noisy world in which I live, I pray that You would quiet my heart to help me hear Your voice—and not only listen to You, but act upon the Truth that You reveal to me—so that I would follow You more perfectly.
Help me truly see that I
am one of Your very own—that You have called me to Yourself and redeemed me
from my sin, that I might follow You all the days of my life.
Help me to understand that
as one of Your own, You will always speak to me, always guide me in the best
way for me to go, always protect me, always provide for me, and always keep me
at peace, if I will listen to hear Your voice and follow You.
Help me to grasp that You
fully know me—that there is nothing about me that is hidden from You—yet You still
love me, want me, and have called me to be one of Your own, so that through my
relationship with You, I would bring glory to You and to my Heavenly Father.
