Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.—Romans 12:2 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Change the way I think and transform me into a new person—one who is able to learn to know Your good and pleasing and perfect will for me.
Grant me the wisdom to
reject the behaviors, customs and values that this world casually accepts—those
things which are birthed out of selfishness and nurtured with corruption—things
which will only lead me down paths of destruction and death.
Transform me into that new
person who rejects the world’s way of behaving—as by Your Spirit within me, You
change the way that I think—so my thoughts will be like Your thoughts and my
ways will be Your ways and not those of this world.
Help me to learn to know
Your will for me—as I trust that Your will for me is good, pleasing and perfect—so
that I can willingly walk in every path You place before me knowing that it
will lead me to Your very best for me.
Change the way I think and transform me into a new person—one who is able to learn to know Your good and pleasing and perfect will for me.
