Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.—1 Timothy 1:19 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
May I always cling to my faith in Christ and keep a clear conscience—as I willingly submit and obediently respond to every prompting of Your Holy Spirit within me.
Help me to believe that my
faith in Jesus Christ alone is enough to see me through every situation that I
encounter—as I listen to Your Spirit speaking through my conscience to guide me
in the way that I should go.
Help me be careful not to
override my conscience and in doing so violate my faith, harden my heart, weaken
my capacity to tell right from wrong, and diminish my belief in the power of
Christ to protect and save me in every circumstance.
Help me to treasure my
faith in Christ more than I treasure anything else, so that as I submit my will
to the tugging of the Holy Spirit at my heart, my conscience remains clear and
my faith remains strong—and I can avoid any traps the enemy may have set for
me.
May I always cling to my faith in Christ and keep a clear conscience—as I willingly submit and obediently respond to every prompting of Your Holy Spirit within me.
