The Way I Want To Go

There is a way that appears to be right,
   but in the end it leads to death.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Open my eyes so I might be saved from the path of self-deception that causes my own destruction along the way, and ultimately leads me to death!

I want to see Your Truth and walk in it—not walk according to what seems right to my flesh.

Stop me when I lose sight of Your Truth and I begin to move in a direction of hypocrisy by “playing at religion” as if it were some kind of performance I give for the praise of man.

Show me the way that leads to life, so that I everything that I do would be pleasing to You and for Your glory.

Open my eyes so I might be saved from the path of self-deception that causes my own destruction along the way, and ultimately leads me to death!

Come, Go This Way

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.

Heavenly Father,

I am so grateful that, if I will listen, I will hear Your voice showing me, at every turn, the right path to follow today.

Just like my dog, excitedly anticipates his walks with me, I am excited to walk with You today. 

I know that You want me to move forward with energy, enthusiasm and curiosity to discover the things that You have planned for me to experience.

I know that You will be watching for danger around me and will not let me out of Your sight so I can feel safe with You.

I know that at every turn I make, if I will only listen and obey, You will speak to me and show me the way that I should go, and that in the end, I get to go back home with You.

I am so grateful that, if I will listen, I will hear Your voice showing me, at every turn, the right path to follow today.

Stumble-free Running With You

I instruct you in the way of wisdom
   and lead you along straight paths.
When you walk, your steps will not be hampered;
   when you run, you will not stumble.

Ever Wise God,

I want to walk…and even run…with You, today and every day!

I know that You alone reveal to me godly wisdom and insight into Your ways and Your purposes. You show me the best direction to go in order to get me straight to where You want me to be.

I know that You have promised that, as I stay on the paths of uprightness that You have shown me, You will make the path clear and open, so that my progress is not held back and I will even be able to run forward with You without stumbling.

I want to walk…and even run…with You, today and every day!

Revelation From You

Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.

Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.

Lord of my life,

I want to be learning something new about You...each moment of every new day!

Be my teacher and enlighten my understanding of Your plan for me, as I look to You to instruct me in Your ways, Your paths, and Your truth.

Help me to remember that Your paths are the ways of truth.

Reveal to me the Way and the Truth—that is, Your Son, Jesus.

Because You are the God of my salvation, I will expectantly and confidently wait for Your direction all day long knowing, that as I listen, You will show me Your ways.

I want to be learning something new about You...each moment of every new day!
