And you have brought this upon yourselves
by rebelling against the Lord your God,
even though he was leading you on the way!--Jeremiah 2:17 (NLT)
Dear Lord my God,
Lead me away from trouble and help me never to leave the covering of protection which is found in obedience to You.
All of Your commands and
instructions are given to me for my protection—and by my obedience to them, I
will keep myself from trouble.
Should I find myself in
trouble, help me to realize that it was my rebellion that got me there—that I
have no one else to blame.
Help me to trust that You
are always leading me in love along the way that brings me joy, peace and
protection—no matter where You ask me to go.
Help me to humbly submit
my will to Yours alone—by not only hearing Your voice, but acting on what You
ask me to do, so that all will go well for me.
Lead me away from trouble and help me never to leave the covering of protection which is found in obedience to You.
