Come and listen to my counsel.
I’ll share my heart with you
and make you wise.—Proverbs 1:23 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for wanting me to know Your heart—and for wanting me to live in Your wisdom.
Help me to do that which
is necessary to live in the wisdom of Your counsel.
Rescue me from the pride
that causes me to think more highly of my own understanding and wisdom, than I do
of Yours.
Keep me from the
foolishness of believing that I don’t need Your direction in every single
aspect of my life.
Help me to surrender my
will to Yours—to submit my self-centered plans to Your plans for me—so that
Your will can be accomplished in my life.
Help me to come to You, to
truly listen—filled with expectation for the wise counsel that will pour from
Your heart, as I open my own heart to hear what Your Spirit would say to me.
Thank You for wanting me to know Your heart—and for wanting me to live in Your wisdom.
