The Story You Wrote With My Life

Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness.
    Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.
    Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
Exult in his holy name;
    rejoice, you who worship the L
ORD.

—Psalm 105:1-3 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

May I never cease to tell the story You have written with my life!

May I always show my gratitude to You and be eager to tell others of Your greatness!

May I boldly and courageously declare to the world the good things You have done for all of mankind!

May I never cease to sing my praise to You!

May I freely share the story of the wonderful things that You have done for me!

May I always find my extreme joy in Your holy name!

And may I encourage others to rejoice and to worship You, together with me!

May I never cease to tell the story You have written with my life!

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Love That Remains Forever

Our days on earth are like grass;
    like wildflowers, we bloom and die.
The wind blows, and we are gone—
    as though we had never been here.
But the love of the LORD remains forever
    with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
     of those who are faithful to his covenant,
     of those who obey his commandments!

—Psalm 103:15-18 (NLT)

Loving LORD,

Thank You that Your love remains with me forever—and is extended to my children’s children, as well.

My time here on earth is brief—I am here now, but will soon be gone and forgotten.

But not so, with Your love.  Your love remains forever with me, as I reverently and worshipfully fear You—as I respond to Your love with love and obedience.

And Your loving salvation is extended to not only to my children, but to their children as well—and to as many as will be faithful to remain in this covenant relationship with You, by being careful to remember and earnestly obey Your commandments.

Thank You that Your love remains with me forever—and is extended to my children’s children, as well.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

A Father To His Children

The LORD is like a father to his children,
    tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
For he knows how weak we are;
    he remembers we are only dust.

—Psalm 103:13-14 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that You know my every weakness and deal with me with tenderness and compassion, as my loving Heavenly Father.

You know me better than I know myself, for You are the one who knit me together in my mother’s womb—I am Your creation.

Out of Your tender compassion for me, You show me Your patience when I am impatient, You comfort me when I am sick, You pick me up when I fall, You forgive me when I repent of my sin, and You bring understanding to me of things I do not understand.

You show me that when I walk with You—submitting my will to Yours—You will set right every injustice done to me—in Your perfect timing—and give me everything I need to live my life for You.

Because You know the frailty of my flesh (this body in which I live) and the weakness of my soul (my mind, will, and emotions), You demonstrate Your tender compassion to me by not allowing me to suffer more than I can handle, as I confidently place my trust in You.

Thank You that You know my every weakness and deal with me with tenderness and compassion, as my loving Heavenly Father.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
