Pathway To Wisdom

Cry out for insight,
    and ask for understanding.
Search for them as you would for silver;
    seek them like hidden treasures.
Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord,
    and you will gain knowledge of God.
For the Lord grants wisdom!
    From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

God of Wisdom,

Thank You for giving me a pathway to wisdom and for walking that path with me.

Strengthen me as I search out that path which I find in Your Word—that path that allows me to gain insight and understanding into Your will and Your ways.

Give me the desire to search out the wisdom that is revealed through the pages of Your Word—just as I would if Your Word was a map guiding me to earthly hidden treasures.

Show me how, if I consistently and diligently seek to understand You more, You will reward me with the wisdom to more fully hold You in awe and reverence—as You reveal Yourself to me.

Grant me that knowledge, understanding and wisdom that only You can give—as I seek to know You better through prayer and through studying Your Word.

Thank You for giving me a pathway to wisdom and for walking that path with me.
