For I am the LORD your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.—Isaiah 41:13 (NIV)
Heavenly Father,
Time and again, You tell me through Your Word not to be afraid. Help me to apply the truth of Your Word to my heart and my life, so that fear cannot hold me back from the good plans You have made for me.
You are the LORD—my all-sufficient
God—who is more than enough for me.
Though I act in ways
unlovely and unlovable, Your love never fails to fall on me—and You never
abandon me.
You are personally and
immediately present with me. When I call
to You, You are already here with me, for You never leave my side.
You walk hand in hand with
me—to uphold me when I become weak, to steady me when I stumble, to keep me from falling completely down, to comfort
me with the strength of Your own hand, so that I sense Your protection and am
forever captured by Your gentle and loving care over me.
When I make the choice to
listen, deep within my spirit I hear the voice of Your Holy Spirit—softly and
quietly—speaking words of comfort and peace saying, “Do not fear; I will help you.”
Time and again, You tell me through Your Word not to be afraid. Help me to apply the truth of Your Word to my heart and my life, so that fear cannot hold me back from the good plans You have made for me.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
