Heavenly Father,
Help me to listen to everything that You would say to me and take Your words into my heart—carefully applying Your words to my life—so I might be careful to please You and bring glory to the name of Your Son, Jesus, by my every thought and action.
As I go through my day,
help me to never stop listening for the words You would say to me—by the voice
of Your Holy Spirit speaking to my spirit.
I know that You are always
with me and it is Your desire to be in constant conversation with me.
Remind me that the most
important part, of any conversation that I engage in, is the part when I am not
speaking, but rather truly listening to what is being said to me.
You will speak to me
throughout every moment of my experience of life—if I will only quiet my mind,
and in stillness, listen for Your voice.
Help me to
carefully and continuously listen for You to speak to me through Your Word, through
the circumstances of life, and through the wisdom of others.
May I always remember to
ask of You and be attentive to Your response, so I can understand Your Truth
and be transformed—enabled to apply Your words to my life and experience the
joy and peace of living in that Truth.
Help me to listen to everything that You would say to me and take Your words into my heart—carefully applying Your words to my life—so I might be careful to please You and bring glory to the name of Your Son, Jesus, by my every thought and action.
