Joy In The Shadow

Because you are my helper,
    I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
    your strong right hand holds me securely.

—Psalm 63:7-8 (NLT)

Almighty God,

May I ever cling to You and sing for joy—sheltered under Your love and upheld in every way by the almighty power of Your right hand.

There are those who try to find their help from the things of this world.  But You are my helper—the One who spoke the heavens and the earth into existence.

What better help is there, than You—the One who created it all?

Because You love me, I can sing for joy at all times—no matter what outward circumstances I face—for You shelter me from the storms of this life, under the protection of Your covering wings, and take on the force of each storm on my behalf.

As I cling to You, You hold me securely and never let go.  You uphold me in every way, by the power of Your right hand, so that I am able to fulfill Your plan and purpose for me—as all the while I walk in Your peace, provision and protection.

Let my life forever be an unending, joyful song of praise and worship to You—my only help and my salvation.

May I ever cling to You and sing for joy—sheltered under Your love and upheld in every way by the almighty power of Your right hand.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
