Let those who are wise understand these things.
Let those with discernment listen carefully.
The paths of the Lord are true and right,
and righteous people live by walking in them.
But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.—Hosea 14:9 (NLT)
Heavenly Father,
Grant me wisdom and discernment that I might listen carefully to Your voice and understand how to walk uprightly in Your paths of life for me.
Your paths are altogether true
and right, and they lead to life—life as You intended it to be.
Help me to walk in
right-standing with You, in a right relationship with You, so that I might find
life more abundant—as I choose to listen, seek to learn, and hope to receive,
all of the benefits of a life lived by Your plans and purposes.
Help me to see that the
more I allow You to be my guide along Your paths of life for me, the more You will
illuminate my way and keep me walking uprightly.
Help me to guard against allowing
my sinful nature to have its way in me, which can only lead me into total
darkness—where I will stumble, fall, and lose all hope.
Grant me wisdom and discernment that I might listen carefully to Your voice and understand how to walk uprightly in Your paths of life for me.
