Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!—Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)
Loving and Compassionate LORD,
Grant me the wisdom and courage to wait on You—knowing that You will strengthen my heart to stand against whatever troubles may come my way.
Help me to patiently wait
on You—with great faith and expectation—believing I will see Your hand at work
on my behalf, as You work all things for my good.
As I wait on You, help me purpose
to draw ever closer to You and remain faithful to do that which You have called
me to do—knowing waiting does not mean being idle, but rather requires action
on my part.
Help me to be busy in
prayer, in searching Your Word and in listening for Your Spirit—as I humbly
submit my will to Yours in obedience to all that You have asked of me.
Help me as I encourage
myself with Your Truth—standing firm and resolutely fixed on You, unmoved by
what I see in the natural—confident that my only Hope is found in You.
Grant me the wisdom and courage to wait on You—knowing that You will strengthen my heart to stand against whatever troubles may come my way.
