I Will Sing, For I Rejoice

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!
May all my thoughts be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the L
ORD.

—Psalm 104:33-34 (NLT)

Heavenly Father,

Let all my thoughts be pleasing to You, as I make You the source of all my joy and sing all my praise to You alone—for as long as I have life.

Grant that I would always have a voice to sing Your praises—and I will praise You, my God, because of who You are, until my final breath!

Remind me to praise You, LORD, in every moment that I live—for the precious gift of life You have given me, for the love that You have freely showered on me, and for the opportunity that You have opened before me to experience Your amazing grace, both here on earth and as I spend eternity there with You!

Let loving gratitude for everything You have done, everything that You are doing, and everything that You will do, fill my thoughts at all times—that the meditations of my heart would be pleasing to You as I entrust my life into Your hands!

Let all my thoughts be pleasing to You, as I make You the source of all my joy and sing all my praise to You alone—for as long as I have life.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thankfulness, My Sacrifice

“Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God,
and keep the vows you made to the Most High.
Then call on me when you are in trouble,
    and I will rescue you,
and you will give me glory.”

—Psalm 50:14-15 (NLT)

LORD Most High,

O that I would continually offer a sacrifice of thankfulness to You and demonstrate true repentance from my sin—by my obedience to Your commands.

Within every prayer I speak and all the praises that I lift to You, let my genuine gratitude and heartfelt thankfulness to You—for who You are and for all that You have done—be the first sounds that cross my lips.

And help the demonstration of my love for You be that I not only say that I will follow You, but that I follow You in truth—so that if I was on trial for being Your child, the evidence of my repentance from all my sin would be sufficient to convict me, as I submit my will in obedience to Yours.

Then help me to boldly and confidently call only on You when I find myself in trouble—knowing that You alone are the One who hears my cry and rescues me.

And let it be that I would give You glory for that rescue—even before I see it with my eyes—that others would see my faith confirmed and come to know that I serve the only God who is able to save to the uttermost!

O that I would continually offer a sacrifice of thankfulness to You and demonstrate true repentance from my sin—by my obedience to Your commands.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

God's Will For Me

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

—1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)

Gracious and Loving God,

No matter the circumstances in which I find myself, grant that I would always remain thankful, confidently trusting that Your love for me—that the very best that You have for me—is far beyond my capacity to comprehend.

When things are good, do not allow me to forget that it is by Your unmerited favor that I am blessed and that I must never take those blessings for granted—but always use the opportunities that I am given to bring You honor and glory.

When things seem not so good, help me to see Your Spirit at work in me, teaching me things I do not know; to look for Your hand working through me for the benefit of others; and to be assured that You are at work all around me, as I watch Your plan to work all things for good unfold before me.

When I feel overwhelmed by the hardships of this life, remind me that You are always with me to keep me in perfect peace and safety—sustaining me in every way: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—when I will allow You to carry my burdens for me.

So, I ask that not my will, but Your will be done in my life—for I know that Your plans and purposes for my life are far better than my own could ever be.

No matter the circumstances in which I find myself, grant that I would always remain thankful, confidently trusting that Your love for me—that the very best that You have for me—is far beyond my capacity to comprehend.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
