“To God belong wisdom and power;
counsel and understanding are his.”—Job 12:13 (NIV)
Almighty and Wise God,
Wisdom and power belong to You—and all counsel and understanding are already Yours! How great are You, God!
For a man limited by this
world, any wisdom he might gain only comes after many years of long and hard
experiences, when that wisdom is difficult to act upon—when the vitality and
strength he had in his youth has passed.
But it doesn’t have to be
that way for the one who knows and serves You, God—the God of all wisdom and
power, the God who never needs to go find counsel, or study to receive understanding,
because it already belongs to Him.
For when that man follows
wholeheartedly after You, he finds that Your plans and purposes are perfect—wisely
crafted to always be the best for him!
And in You he finds the strength he needs for his journey here, along
with the wisdom he requires from Your Word—as he depends on You for the counsel
and the understanding that he must have in order to do those things You have for
him to do.
Wisdom and power belong to You—and all counsel and understanding are already Yours! How great are You, God!
